VOLPAROSSA CLOUD
The familiar OpenCloud experience.
Encrypted, shared storage.
In development
Built on OpenCloud. Extended by VOLPAROSSA.
OpenCloud provides the familiar file interface. VOLPAROSSA connects it to encrypted fragment storage and recovery through the shared Core.
Explore OpenCloud Understand the integration
The current integration supports owner-private uploads and recovery in a limited development setup.
01 / ON YOUR DEVICE
On your device.

Your device encrypts the file before it leaves.

VOLPAROSSA Core divides the encrypted data into fragments.
Encryption keeps contents private. Fragmentation spreads the storage.
An explanation of the storage path. No files are uploaded or processed on this page.

02 / ACROSS PARTICIPANTS
Core places redundant copies across storage participants.
Storage participants receive encrypted data, not your recovery keys.
The buildings represent participating devices contributing storage.
Storage use and contribution follow the shared Core policy, including the space used by redundancy.

Your device retrieves the required fragments, verifies the recovered data and decrypts the file locally.
Open it through the familiar OpenCloud interface.
Reading a file does not remove the stored copies.
Recovery needs the required fragments, your owner keys and recovery records. Decryption happens on your device.
Private uploads and recovery have been demonstrated in scoped trials. The complete Cloud experience is still in development.
Follow developmentRecovery keys and records currently remain on the owner's device. The current integration is not a complete replacement for an always-on OpenCloud server.
Imported files remain read only. A separate, explicitly enabled owner-private space accepts new uploads. Private files, names and catalogs are not public-cache or training data.
